Any advice about the vegan lifestyle and weightloss?

I’m 6 feet tall, 155 lbs. I’m not overweight by any stretch of the imagination, but I want to be around 135 lbs. I want to lose this weight before the end of June. I’ve become a vegan in this process and am avoiding all dairy and animal products. Any advice for exercise/this kind of dietary lifestyle?
I play varsity basketball and so I get about 1.5-2 hours 5 days of the week.

You are a good weight. Even vegans can consume too much vegetable oil that is high in calories. You need one tablespoon of oil in your diet, no more. Also cut out refined carbs (white bread), white rice, alcohol, sugar, and artificial sweeteners. Processed foods almost always have too much sugar, fat, preservatives and other additives.
Stick with a low-fat, low-refined-carb vegan diet.
As for exercise, a healthy and fit adult should exercise for one hour per day 5 days per week. You should work up to this. The exercise should be aerobic where you monitor and maintain your heart rate in an aerobic zone. Look up aerobic exercise for details.
Don’t forget to get 8-9 hours of deep sleep.
Your weight sounds about right to me. I’d make sure to eat enough beans, brown rice, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables to maintain your health. Eating fewer calories is much easier for a vegan.
My advice is simply to enjoy the benefits. I lost 80 lbs when I went from vegetarian to vegan. You can email me at tinyvegan1@yahoo.com if you have any specific questions. Also take a look at the vegetarian/vegan section on here. Good luck!!
