How long does a detox diet take to show results?




k so i just started a detox diet yesterday…today sucks…i woke up with stomach cramps, and i had diarrhea.yuck…..i feel really tired and weird…i know this is your body cleaning itself out but how long does this last? and i was wondering how long it takes to see results from a detox diet? Anyone who has been through one? any tips???

my diet consists of:
green tea(no sugar, no anything, just the tea)
fruits,
vegetables and,
lots and lots of water.

i will be doing this diet for 1 month.

I’m 5’2, and weigh 122 lbs. I want to get to around 110. I don’t ever work out or anything, I work at a desk so I’m sitting alot. I’ve used many calorie calculators online to see how many calories a day I should eat to lose weight, but I get different numbers on every one. Right now I eat 1100 calories a day, and am losing weight, but I’m afraid this might not be enough. I don’t starve myself, I eat alot of avocados, wheat bread, chicken, nuts, olive oil etc. Can anyone tell me what the right amount of calories are for me? Or is 1100 good since I don’t exercise?

Oh and I’m terrified of losing my hair while dieting so if anyone has any tips that would be great!

Okay So.. I’m About 5 ft 5.5 .. In some rare cases 5 ft 6. lol.. I am MALE .. and I weigh in at about 185-190 Believe it or not… I always ask people how much they think I was I always get somewhere between 150 – 169.. and I think Its soooo Cute that they think that lol and then when I say I’m pushing Very Close to 200 they get very shocked… lol Now I have Semi Broad Shoulders and Chest I suppose….I look Muscular I look like I work out. I look like a Pump my arms alot..and I look like I’m VERY good at football.. and Truth be told.. That 25 pound dumbbell be killing me after 10 min..and leaves me sore the next day… and football?.. lol Yeah ok….

Since I’m 5.5 I noticed that according to theory I’m like Extremely Obese.. lol… or as the calculator says.. "skating on the edge of morbid obesity" … So I’m suppose to be any where between 111 lbs and 150 lbs ..lol I think Its funny Because I know My head is going to get Way bigger than it is now.. lol… I use to weight 140… about that yeah… Idk what happened. So I wann lose some pounds before college

I have a Bally’s membership (Death sentence I know… but hey at 35 bucks a month and unlimited everything including classes You can’t beat it.. although I am thinking about switching to NYSC.. But its 86 bucks I don’t have monthly.. Idk that another story lol ) and I was thinking about increasing my Activity..

heres what I’m have been doing 30 min on the bike ( I get up and my ass is killing me) then I got do 1 hour on the Eliptacator. (yup 800 plus calories can’t beat it :) ) and then 20min – 1 hour on that running thing.. Idk what its called… lol it has bars and you hold on to it.. Not the treadmill.. (hate that thing I don’t like when my thighs rub together and cause friction and produces heat you can fry an egg in.. and then you get itchy.. yuk.) put its almost like the elipticator except it doesn’t go up.. its just leveled. and the handels move with you..

ANYWAY… I want to be smaller.. and I want to get into Palates.. but I have no clue what ima be getting my self into and I feel as though People would think I’m too big to do them.. same with yoga. I also Wanna so a Kwando class they offer.. Idk I hear it funner on your weight loss journey when you switch things up.. I was thinking about a spin class but when I think of that I think of heart attack…

Anyway.. I ‘m really interested in Palates tho what do you think?… Oh and I guess yoga too.. lol
I was thinking drop some pounds and the start the bending of sexual positions,,, I mean Palates would It be soo bad if I loose some muscle?.. I guess I’ll be smaller ?

I need to lose 10lbs before September 1, 2009!?




I am a 15 year old girl, and am 5’1. I need to lose 10lbs before school starts. An online calculator that I took- most actually said that I need about 800-1000 calories per day to lose about 2lbs/fat per week. Will this do the trick? I am naturally slim, but have been binging a ton, from my period and gained 10lbs. I don’t even fit in my school uniform anymore! It’s too tight! So I NEED to lose the weight…
Please don’t ask how much I weigh now…
Please don’t advertise any of those weight loss pills/diets…

I am mainly looking for someone to come with a 800-1000 calorie vegetarian meal plan, low in fat, high in fiber, very filling, that will help me lose this weight before school.

How can I stop myself from overeating?




I always snack when I’m bored, and I don’t stop when I’m full. I snack and snack and snack.

first off im 15 5’6 female weight shifts a bit 129-132

i wanted to lose weight so i went online and read like a million weight loss articles. I saw that a woman burns 1,200 calories just by being alive. I said if i go below then i will burn more so i was sttupid and started eating 200-400 calories a day but wasnt even hungry (maybe because i was taking vitamins daily??). I also worked out with p90x. I upped my cals when i realized that i was too tired to even finish my workout. Now i eat 1,000-1,200(some days 900 or 1,300 to boost metabolism). I just read recently that since im a teen im stilkl growing so i need more calories so i used the bmi calculator on kidnutrition and realized i needed 1800 on sedentary. Currently iv been very sedentary because i have a broken foot so i can’t exercise. Am i in starvation mode?

symptoms:
irritable
light-headed (faint occasionally but mostly on my low low cal days)
obsessed with counting calories
obsessed with which foods i can or cant have
cravings are kicking in when im not hungry

im very hard on myself on food choices.yesterday i had to force myself to eat those 100 cal pack cheezits and i wanted to throw up but my grandma who has been worried about my eating was watching me. i only eat healthy choices i don’t even let myself have ice cream unless my mom forces me

my foods include
fiber wraps(spinach and herbs)
special k bars
whey protein shakes
brocolli
apples
banana
string cheese
raisins
sugarfree gum to calm cravings
tuna
salads

as i said i eat those strictly unless my family members make me eat something

What would a good detox diet for a TEEN be?




So i kinda binged for a while, and now im all bloated and full of junk food:\
so what would a good detox, to cleanse out all that icky stuff I ate (you know what i mean)

and can you give me a recipe, list of food, drinks ect.

and i already drink a lot of water and tea.

Any Reliable Teen Weight Loss Solutions?




So I went online to a BMI calculator. I entered in my height ( 5ft. 8in. ) and my weight ( 194lbs. ). The calculator told me I had a BMI of 29.5. Which is .5 away from being obese. This scares me… a lot! I need to know some weight loss solutions for teens ( I am 15 years old, male ) that really work and give me good results. I’m not going for muscles or anything like that. For now, I want to get to a weight of 140 – 150lbs. Please help me.

I’m not sure if this is relevant but I have a BMR ( Basal Metabolic Rate ) of 2036.22, which means if i were to stay in bed all day, I would burn 2036.22 calories.

Please help me with this nutrition plan?




I am a 24 year old male, whos height is 5’7, and I weigh a little under 240. My target goal is between 170-180,with muscle. I am told that my target weight for my height is between 145 to 172. But i am shooting for anything between 170-180 with good muscle tone. I will be working out between 4-5 days a week depending on schedule. This involves cardio,starting off light jogging,then move to sprinting when i start to shed pounds, then more intense cardio like seen in p90x. I will also be lifting weight for about 30 min to an hour a day,3-5 days a week depending on schedule.

I am cutting my calories to around 1904 from what a calories calculator reading said. I take precision engineering protein as well. I was told to have 1g of protein per pound of my desired body weight. That would be 178 grams of protein,and if I use the shakes for this,with two scoops in each shake,it comes out to around 5 shakes a day,with one of the shakes only having one scoop. I do use water for my shakes so I am not adding anything else to it. This comes out to 900 calories so far for the day. I am wondering if this is wrong in any way. The info I got is mostly from mens fitness big book of excersises. i NEED help determining if the info I have so far is right. And if so, what can i eat through out the day to maintain the 1904 calorie intake. I am choosing 1904 because the calcolator said I needed that many for extreme weight loss for someone who works out 4-5 days a week,which is what i will be doing starting next week.

What is the right number of calories for me?




Like most males my age, I feel I need to gain muscle and work to have more visible abs (it’s not like I show them to anyone, I just like being thin). I already have a fairly balanced workout routing consisting of strength training and cardio, but I am not sure as to how many calories I will need to see a maximized effect. The workouts are split up into four sets, and total a span of about two hours daily. Here’s some background information. I was formerly on a weight loss diet, eating 1800 calories a day. Hence reaching my desired body fat percentage and picking up strength training, I have slowly began consuming more calories without losing the visibility of my abs. Right now I take in 2300 and am wondering how far I might be able to go. I’m 17, 5’9, 147 lbs. Any past experiences would help me greatly, any results other’s may have seen would be very useful. I would rather read about first-hand experiences than look it up on an online calculator. I would appreciate some help (except for those darn "copy and paste" answers telling me to visit some weight loss website)!
