My cousin says she lost 30 pounds in one month by practicing the lotus position for four hours a day… After lost 15 pounds of body fat… I am able to do it, but I wont’ unless I know for sure I will lose weight on it. What do you think?

I find it difficult to imagine anyone practicing lotus position for 4 hours a day.
I’d be very skeptical about it, and don’t go looking for miracle weight loss secrets. there aren’t any. the only best way to lose weight and remain healthy is to eat less junk, eat more healthful foods, and get out and move more. Exercise, even walking, will help you lose weight, and eating less and eating healthier will help as well. Drink lots of water, thats a big part of it.
Lotus for 4 hours? That has to hurt.
well i dont know if the lotus position itself was responsible for your cousin’s weight loss, but yoga itself is great exercise. lotus is really just sitting with your legs crossed on top of your thighs.
I am really not sure how sitting still is going to aid in losing weight!
There is probably something else she was doing that resulted in the weight loss!
