Unfortunately there is no scientific basis for spot reduction. You do need to eat right and exercise consistently for fat loss, you just can't choose when and where you will lose it. And, exercising a specific area will not burn the fat off of that area or make it smaller. Your body simply doesn't work that way.

The best thing is to follow a comprehensive program like Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle by Tom Venuto or Turbulence Training by Craig Ballantyne. You can check them out here:

Sorry, but the reality is you cannot lose them by Saturday.

Hope that helps,
Dave S.

Love handles are probably one of the most harder fat areas to get rid of. It is natural for everyone to have some fat around that area. I have fat there and I am about 15-20 lbs underweight.

Trust me, it is very difficult to do it all at once. Just eat healthy and exercise. Don't stress over it and you will see results.

Sit ups are a great way to rid of love handles, and also try doing Side Crunches; which is similar to sit ups except your body is crunching the sides of your body rather than the front.

I am not sure how easy sit ups are for you, but you might want to try 4 sets of 25 side crunches to start off. And only taking a 5 second break inbetween each set.
