How should I increase my body fat percentage without gaining weight?

I haven’t had my period since September and I know I need to have it so how should I go about doing it?
I know I must have a low body fat percentage so I should increase it to get my period.
But I really love my body the way it is now and I don’t want to gain weight.
Is this possible?

If your period has stopped because of your weight then you need to go straight to a doctor. People have died from anorexia if they have stopped because of your weight you are in alot of danger. GO TO THE DOCTOR!
Straight up? No. You could lose muscle mass, which weighs more than fat, and replace that lost weight with body fat, which would up your percentage, but then you’d be losing muscle and your body wouldn’t look the way it does now. If your bf% is low enough to stop menstruation, you could probably stand to gain a few pounds anyway. Make sure to keep up the muscle as well as the fat and you should be okay, image wise. Sometimes having a bit of "extra" fat on a toned body helps accentuate the muscle definition and make your skin look better as well–I’m noticing that myself, as I try to do the same thing, as I’m actually in the same situation.
Well, how slim or nice our body looks is not dictated by weight. It is dictated by body fat %. There is an INSANE difference between a 250lb male with 33% body fat and a 250pd male with 7% body fat. To increase your body fat % would change how you look. I would recommend weight training. Go to bodybuilding.com and find a program that can fit your lifestyle. They have everything you need and it’s all free. This way, you can gain a couple % on body fat, but also gain muscle to help cancel out the gain and actually make you look even better than what you are now. Hope this helps.
You really need to see a doctor if your weight is so low that you’ve stopped having your period because of it. You can also check your body fat online with a body fat calculator. See the source link. Good luck!
