So for the last six weeks or so, I’ve been exercising off around 1000 calories a day (around two hours, crosstrainer, heartbeat kept around 135, so decent exercise, machine as well as online calculators suggest I’m burning 1000 or over). I’ve been doing this five times a week.
At the same time, I’ve been eating 2000 to 2500 calories a day. Minus the exercised calories that makes 1000 to 1500 a day, right? Shouldn’t that mean major weight loss? Instead I’ve been gaining almost a pound a week, certainly not losing anything… and I doubt that’s all ‘muscle gain’ or something, so quickly.
I tried Weight Watchers for a while as well, which had me eating about 1750 calories a day (I’m a 5’8", 230lb f). While overall I was slowly losing weight, I just couldn’t keep it up, because it was so frustrating. Other people seemed to be losing weight pretty fast, while I was losing about half a pound a week, and every three weeks or so, I’d gain up to a pound again, having followed the plan.
Just wanted to add: I was overweight even as a kid, grew up in The NEtherland,s ahve never eaten or liked fast food, don’t liek hamburgers, french fries, condiments, etc. Don’t like soda, I just drink water. I don’t like things like bacon, and I eat very little meat.
Also when I was 12 or so, my dad took me to the doctor to see if my thyroid gland or something like that wasn’t working properly, and at the time their test came out normal.
